The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors (NEFAR) held its 11th annual, catch-and-release, charity bass fishing tournament benefitting Haven Hospice. The tournament was held at the Palatka City riverfront on April 26 with 114 boats participating and vying for the $2,500 guaranteed first place and the $1,000 guaranteed prize for big bass of the tournament. The 114 participating boats set a new record from the previous year's 92 boats. This brought NEFAR's total raised for Haven Hospice to $ 215,296 since its inception eleven years ago.
The tournament & big fish winners were James Bullard & Marcus Hodges with a five fish limit of 30.61 lbs. which included the big bass of the tournament 10.82 lbs. and a pay day of $3,500. Congratulations!

Many thanks to all of our sponsors, donors and in-kind donors, vendors, charities and especially the bass fishermen and fisherwomen for making this NEFAR Charity Tournament a huge success for Haven Hospice. There are very few of our families that haven't been touched by the loving and caring support of Hospice employees at some point in their lives. We are proud to be a part of the community supporting Haven Hospice so they may provide the best possible care and service to our families when needed.
